Get to Know Dr. Amanda B. Boltwood-Zehnder
Dr. Boltwood, or “Dr. Mandi” as her team and patients like to call her, grew up in Rochester Hills and has been practicing dentistry here for over a decade. She loves having the opportunity to serve the people and community she knows and deeply cares about. For her, nothing is more fulfilling than catching up with a patient at their appointments and ensuring their smile is ready for whatever life throws at them next. She can’t wait to welcome you into our practice, and you can start getting to know her below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Mandi first became interested in dentistry back in middle school, and this led her to spend some time shadowing her family dentist. Her parents also encouraged her to consider the field because she was always commenting on and noticing people’s teeth. She ended up working for her childhood dentist and hasn’t looked back since!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Mandi began her dental career while she was still a teenager, working as a sterilization tech and assistant before graduating from the Michigan State University Lyman Briggs School and obtaining her dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
While in dental school, she took part in an externship at the Wayne County medical examiner’s office, and today, she is on the Michigan Forensic Dental Identification Team (FDIT) and MI-MORT, which assist with autopsies and forensics for Oakland County.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Most of Dr. Mandi and her husband's, Steve, free time is dedicated to her young daughter (Brianne) and son (Brayden) and their various activities. They both go to Holy Family Regional School which Dr. Mandi attended as a child! As a family, they like to travel, play games, swim, ski, and spoil their three cats, Morley, Marley, and Smokey.
